We don't know if taking off from some airport is enough to say
you're travelling. Somebody said: "To travel you need
to have some meter, some measure, otherwise it's just about moving".
Our travels always start crossing a border and end up when we pin
a new small flag on our world map, hung on a wall back home. This
is maybe the difference between us and real travellers. Borders
crossed by travellers lie within the paths that they create on their
own; their flights follow unforeseeable routes. On the contrary,
our borders just require a passport and will yield to a new flag
on our world map.
Flags on that map we have many, now. But we have even more ready
in our drawers.
In between new "flags", we also move around our country:
the truth is that sometimes we don't even realize we're travelling.
So, we have started to take a few shots around us, even if we are
not crossing borders.
In a way, taking pictures of your own country sounds strange and,
we don't know why, always seems to be a more difficult task than
doing it abroad. We do it neither seriously nor methodically. Nor,
we're following a specific criteria.
After all, we have no criteria even when travelling.
